2026–2027 STUDIO POLICIES

Everything you need to know about tuition, attendance, class participation, studio expectations, recital, dress code, and important dates.

WELCOME TO THE SALT FLAT!

We are so excited to have you and your dancer(s) as part of our studio family. Our policies are designed to provide clear expectations for tuition, attendance, class participation, studio etiquette, and recital participation.

Tuition & Payment

Tuition is calculated based on the total number of hours a dancer is enrolled each week. Annual tuition is divided into 9 equal monthly payments, September through May.

Payment Due Date

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.

Autopay Required

A valid payment method must remain on file for all accounts, and autopay is required.

September Tuition

September tuition is due upon registration in order to hold your dancer's spot.

Late Fees

Payments not received by the 5th of the month will incur a $20 late fee.

Cash or Check

Cash or check payments must be received by the studio before the 1st of the month or the card on file will be run.

No Prorating

There are no refunds or prorating for missed classes due to vacation, illness, holidays, or absences.

Tuition Payments Are Non-Refundable Please review your schedule carefully before registering.

30+ Days Past Due

Accounts that are 30 days or more past due will result in the dancer being asked to sit out of class until the account is brought current or an approved payment arrangement has been made with the studio.

  • Tuition continues to accrue while an account is past due.
  • Sitting out of class does not cancel or reduce the outstanding balance.
  • The dancer may lose their spot in the class if the account remains unpaid.
  • Returning after losing a spot is subject to availability.
  • Any payment arrangement must be approved by the studio and kept current.
  • Families are encouraged to contact the studio before an account reaches 30 days past due if they are experiencing difficulty making a payment.

Class Withdrawal

To withdraw from a class, a written request must be submitted to the studio office.

Two Weeks' Notice

Written notice must be submitted before the first of the month for the withdrawal to be effective for the following month's tuition.

Tuition Obligation

Tuition charges continue until the written withdrawal request has been submitted and processed.

Classes Dropped After February 1st — $30 Drop Fee

To help us properly plan for recital participation, choreography, costumes, and end-of-year performances, classes dropped after February 1st will be subject to a $30 drop fee. Changes to enrollment after February 1st can significantly impact recital and show planning, as well as our ability to fill the dancer's spot in the class. This fee applies in addition to any tuition obligations outlined in our withdrawal policy. Written notice is still required.

Simply stopping attendance or verbally telling a teacher that your dancer is dropping a class does not automatically stop tuition charges.

Registration Fee

$25 Annual Registration Fee

Required for each dancer.

$10 Additional Sibling Fee

Applied for each additional sibling registered.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

Recital Policies

Our annual recital is an exciting opportunity for dancers to showcase their hard work, growth, and accomplishments throughout the year.

Recital Fee

A $50 fee per participating dancer is required. This fee covers professional video and photography for families.

Costume Fee

Costumes are $85 per costume/dance. Costume fees are posted in mid-September and are due by October 15th.

Late Costume Orders

Express or late shipping fees may apply for late orders or additional costume requests.

Costume Coverage

The costume fee covers the costume only. Families are responsible for required shoes, tights, undergarments, accessories not provided by the studio, and alterations.

$0 ACCOUNT BALANCE REQUIRED FOR RECITAL

All accounts must have a $0 balance in order for a dancer to participate in the recital or purchase recital tickets.

  • May tuition
  • Past-due tuition
  • Outstanding fees
  • Costume balances
  • Any other charges on the account

No recital participation or recital ticket purchases will be permitted until the account has been paid in full.
