Company Attendance
Consistent attendance is one of the most important commitments of Competitive Company. Every dancer is an important part of their team and choreography.
- Each dancer is allowed 4 absences per style/technique class.
- Each dancer is allowed 4 absences per competition rehearsal.
- Unless an absence is due to illness, absences should be communicated to the studio in advance.
- Teachers may exclude dancers from sections of choreography they missed or are not prepared to perform.
- Dancers are expected to attend all required classes and rehearsals during the week prior to a performance or competition in order to perform.
- Exceeding the attendance limit may result in removal from a piece or team.
Ballet Requirement
Ballet is an important part of company training and is required for dancers competing in styles other than hip hop.
If a dancer misses a required ballet class, the class must be made up within the same month by attending an appropriate ballet class or scheduling a private ballet lesson.
Saturday Rehearsals
Saturday rehearsals may include full run-throughs of company pieces. Some pieces may be excused depending on their progress. Exact call times will be communicated approximately two weeks in advance.
Company Fundraising
Company fundraisers are an opportunity for families to help offset competition-related expenses.
